INAE Travel Grant Scheme For Engineering Students An “INAE Travel Grant Scheme” for Engineering Students from IITs/ NITs/ Govt. approved Engineering Colleges other than by AICTE has been instituted to present papers abroad for enhancing the quality of engineering education in the country. The objective of the scheme is to provide partial assistance and registration fees to Bachelors and Masters Level engineering students for presenting a research paper Online or Physically in an international scientific event (conference/seminar/symposium/workshop/exhibition etc) in order to encourage engineering students to engage in research. The proposal(s) received duly completed in all respects will be evaluated by subject experts. Ministry of Education, has launched राष्ट्रीय e-पुस्तकालय (Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya), a National Digital Library for youth on the 10th of February 2024. राष्ट्रीय e-पुस्तकालय (Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya) is a pioneering initiative, offering a digital library that serves as a national repository of knowledge and stories, specifically curated for children and adolescents. By providing seamless access to such online content, the aim is not only to develop a habit of reading and instill a sense of pride and curiosity among young Indians regarding their heritage and achievements but also to act as a knowledge hub for the younger generations. This digital library facilitates availability of quality books across geographies, languages, genres and levels, and enables device agnostic accessibility. The Digital Library consists of non-academic books for children and adolescents categorized in four age groups i.e., 3-8, 8-11, 11-14, and 14-18 years respectively. The books cover different genres for children and adolescents like fiction, non-fiction, biographies, poetry, classics, comics, novels, etc. The repository of books in राष्ट्रीय e-पुस्तकालय (Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya) focuses on history, culture, scientific achievements, and other significant facets of India. An App has been developed for the initiative, which currently hosts over 1000 books sourced from 46 publishers, encompassing in 23 languages, and spanning across 13 genres. Frank Ferguson Fellowship in Engineering The Ireland Fellows Programme enables early to mid-career professionals from eligible countries, with leadership potential, to benefit from a prestigious, world-class, quality education contributing to capacity building. It offers selected students the opportunity to undertake a fully funded one-year master’s level programme at a higher education institution (HEI) in Ireland. The award covers programme fees, flights, accommodation and living costs. Eligible master’s level programmes in Ireland commence in August or September each year and, depending on the programme, will run for between 10 and 16 months. The Ireland Fellows Programme promotes gender equality, equal opportunity, and welcomes diversity. Our Development Policy is aligned with SDG 16 on building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels, and we are encouraging applications from the broadest possible base. The Programme welcomes applications from applicants with disabilities, and applicants who belong to a minority or disadvantaged group. MCW Global Young Leaders Program

The MCW Global Young Leaders Program is based on 3 phases:

Summer Program (10 days)

The program begins with an intensive, 10-day summer program on developing leadership, self-awareness, and a deep understanding of global citizenship.

The program is held in late July in New York City and Burlington, Vermont where you will gain the skills to implement a project from beginning to end. The In addition to working alongside MCW Global team members, alumni mentors, and volunteers, participants will also hear from a range of experts from academia, civil society, development, and the public and private sectors about their own community-action projects.

Project  Development (12 months)

Through the process of vision planning, you will learn to address a community issue through turning passion into a tangible plan for change. During this process, participants will be able to put their local issues into a larger global context while exploring why they are in a unique position to make change happen. Participants will also determine which tools they need to apply to the plan, in order to make it actionable. After the program, Young Leaders are expected to further develop and/or implement their plan in collaboration with their alumni mentors.

Alumni Mentorship and Ongoing Support (12 months)

To further develop and implement their vision plans, Young Leaders are paired with alumni mentors, who guide them at the summer program toward creating an actionable plan. During the year, alumni mentors support participants by facilitating quarterly “hangouts” and ongoing remote communication. Alumni mentors undergo customized training prior to the start of the program in order to support team building and cultural competency.

Benefits:

• In an effort to make the program accessible to all participants, MCW Global will cover program and flight costs;
• MCW Global will also cover costs during the summer program (July 21- July 30, 2020), including housing, food, travel to and from the summer program venues, and any necessary supplies;
• MCW Global requires all participants to pay for their ground transportation from the airport and back, as well as passport or visa fees. (Not applicable for U.S. based participants.);

Applicants who are selected to participate in the program will be notified by email of their status on April 1, 2020.

This event empowers youth to address social challenges and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.

On its 4th edition on Jeju Island, South Korea, Youth leaders from Asia and the Pacific region will be engaged in an exciting eight days capacity-building program that equips delegates with the right skills and attitudes to tackle SDGs and Social Innovation opportunities with their assigned community in Jeju.

The application is open to all youth from Asia and beyond who have a great interest in creating Sustainable Development. It includes networking sessions, leadership training and panel discussions.

There will also be local immersion and a youth symposium as well as the opportunity for sightseeing.

Deadline: 15th Dec 2019 | Age 18-30 | The Young Social Entrepreneurs Program seeks to inspire and equip young people to explore the world of social enterprises (SEs) in Singapore and beyond.

If you have a social enterprise idea, they will help you make it happen!
